Sep 13, 2019 at 9:43 comment added Nimesh Neema @CrossRoads Can you mention the program that you wish to run on iPad? It should be a simple task and you should be able to get it set up easily on iPad. Would objectively recommend iPad vs any Windows tablet any day!

Yes, I need these locally stored, not online where it is inaccessible while I am flying. One of the programs I want to run is only available for iPad, so it's driving me into this vs some Windows tablet option.
Sep 10, 2019 at 21:07 comment added anki @CrossRoads this was what I was talking about. You must turn off iCloud for iBooks to keep a copy offline all the time. Otherwise you'd have to wait for it to download first as the question mentions. apple.stackexchange.com/questions/327972/…

Sep 10, 2019 at 18:47 comment added anki @CrossRoads I think it's going to be open document in Safari, tap share or create pdf and then save it to files in on my iPhone. then you can find it in Files app. Also, Native pdf reader won't be a great reading experience, I suggest acrobat. Cannot speak about iBooks. Also consider having a look at the related questions in the sidebar(or bottom)
Sep 10, 2019 at 17:32 comment added CrossRoads Cool, thank you. This device is not as clear as I thought it was going to be. i have 2 apps for interfacing with, and for simulating/training with, that work well.

Sep 10, 2019 at 17:14 comment added CrossRoads How does one save it locally? I have a document open on a Garmin website for example, I don't see any Save or Save As kind of thing anywhere, there's no File:Save feature. Are you suggesting to open websites from within the PDF viewer and save from there?
