If you haven't changed anything on the iPhone, something has probably changed on the server end. Get in touch with your email provider's technical support people.

Does the performance increases when the memory increases in Apple products?
@hpiOSCoder I don't have any idea when, but they will at some point (as Zsub says). As an example, look at the 1st and 2nd generation iPhones. Neither are supported by the current OS.

When you put it (the macbook) to sleep it'll switch off all non-essential things so as to conserve power, including the hard drives. So they'll be parked.
