Accessing WhatsApp iCloud backup?
It's a quite interesting article particularly for getting the explanation of the encryption/decryption mechanisms used by whatsapp. But I'd like not to trust the Elcomsoft software, but rather know the technical details how to get the decryption key from Whatsapp by using my combination of the phone number (SIM) and Apple ID. Perhaps, an open-source implementation just for this. Then, having the key, I'd decrypt the backup data manually with the key.

Running custom software on an Airport Extreme base station?
@macmadness86 Isn't that possible with a non-Apple router? That was the point of that comment: no need to hack this one, because one can get another one.

Dropbox-like client for Macs to access existing FTP/WebDAV/CMIS storage
@Cawas It does. git-annex.branchable.com : "git-annex assistant turns git-annex into an easy to use folder synchroniser". git-annex.branchable.com/assistant/quickstart : "Then any changes you make to its folder will automatically be committed to git, and synced to repositories on other computers."

Can user accounts be managed via the command line?
Ok, after exiting from the single user mode, I was able to see the new user in the login menu, and then there appeared the new home directory in the filesystem. So my above comment was not about any real problem.

I did this (only with / changed to localonly), but the home directory of the new user didn't appear...
