Automatic App Launch with Service on Big Sur to start Terminal doesn't works whenwork with Finder is in focus, works with other apps

I picked up a new MacBook recently and started customizing it software-wise. After

After some research, I have managed to set a shortcut for opening the Terminal. Sadly, this shortcut only works if the cursor is focused an any other app. I then noticed, that in the top right "Finder" is shown when the Desktop itself is in focus and tested the shortcut while the cursor is focused on a Finder tab - doesn't work.

Step by step: as follows:

  1. Open Automator on Mac
  2. select new documentSelect New Document, quick action -Quick Action, search „Launch Application“ and drag it over
  3. selectSelect the desired application (may be located in „others“)
  4. select fileSelect File->Save onin the menusmenu bar
  5. now open the system preferencesOpen System Preferences and select keyboard >shortcutsKeyboard > servicesShortcuts > Services
  6. Provide a shortcut for the Quick Action. In my case, I have selected CommandControlT

The quick action should now be visible in the listSadly, you just need to provide athe shortcut forCommandControlT doesn't work when the Finder is the active app. With any other app, it works.

I don't understand why, nothing else happens and I fail to find thisas the shortcut specificallyisn't assigned to any action in the finder appFinder.

Thanks in advance 😃

I don't understand why, as the shortcut isn't assigned to any action in the Finder.

Thanks in advance 😃
