I'm looking for a layman's explanation for how to createIn earlier versions of Safari and Pages drag&drop of an Applescript or something tiedURL from Safari to Pages resulted in a shortcut... that will let me copy onlylink with the rich URL (title page title as the text, and the URL as a hotlink) so I can pastelink "behind" it. It still works that into a Pages docway in Mail in Mojave.
Reason being, you used to be able to drag the URL fromBut with Safari into Pages and it would appear as instantly linked, descriptive text. With Pages '09all you get with drag&drop is a link (without the page title), that changedwhich you then need to only dragging in HTML-speak. And now, the only wayedit to create hot-linkedreplace the displayed text is a multi-step process using selecting, drop-down menus, and pastingwith i. I hate ite.
I regularly write long documents that use these rich URL links as embedded citations for our legal review team the page title.
Ten years on, I have to get used to the idea that Apple won't fix thisIs there a way (strangely, it still works correctly in Mailmaybe via AppleScript). Instead, maybe there's an Applescript solution? One where I could copy from the URL window and have the descriptive text automatically assigned, and then could paste to theinsert title & URL of a Safari tab into a Pages doc?
What do you guys thinkdocument without having to manually edit it afterwards?
