Applescript missing AppleScript broken in Lion?

itIt seems like I can notcannot execute applescriptsAppleScripts on my Mac..I have

I am running OS X 10.7.1 and when I try to compile any script an AppleScript, even soa script as simple as  display dialog "Hello World!" , i gotI get a syntax error..In

In the preferences of applescriptfor the AppleScript editor isthere nothing in default language selectthe Default Language drop down menu. on the General preferences page.

Does anybody know, what the heck is it with my OSXmight be wrong? Is it possible reinstalling Applescriptto reinstall just AppleScript?

Does anybody know, what the heck is it with my OSX? Is possible reinstalling Applescript?
