I am a software engineer, mainly focused on mobile platforms. I currently lead the guest mobile team at Blacklane, a global premium chauffeur service, where I initiated and helped the team migrate our codebase to Kotlin back in 2016 (8 months before the official support announcement from Google). I strive for maintaining and improving high code quality while delivering business and user value. I have also been mentoring and helping other developers in the team which has also helped me to improve myself along the way. I aim for having meaningful and challenging work for the team to help everyone grow professionally. One of the initiatives I started and helped the team to deliver was the Mobile API, which is developed in Kotlin using Spring Boot.
We have a high automated test coverage (Unit, Integration and Functional) for both of our projects (iOS and Android) and we are improving the coverage even further. On both platforms, we have migrated from several legacy technologies (incl. Dagger, AlamoFire, and Retrofit among others) to simpler modern alternatives, using native language features when possible.
I keep myself updated on new advancements in the industry and evaluate them in a pragmatic way to tackle real problems.
