The recently announced 12 inch sized retina screen MacBook (Early 2015) will be the first fanless MacBook to ship once it goes on sale. The MacBook Air (11" & 13") and the MacBook Pro 13" have one fan, the MacBook Pro 15" has two.

The general rule is 14 days to return things, but I would just go in and let someone there know your concerns. Also, there often are price reductions which would make your recent purchase less costly if that was something you preferred to have.

It is real. One of the Genius perform the diagnosis right in front of me. If memory serves, it goes like this: With your iPhone, or whichever iDevice, connected to the Apple Store's wifi, "Apple Store", open Safari, and connect to URL "diagnosis.apple.com" (or diagnostics) A page will show up, with a text entry bar for the Genius to enter a verification ...

https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action You can run the diagnostics tool there. My phone has been randomly shutting down when it still has around 20 - 30% battery left, and after running the diagnostics tool it said my iPhone 5 has a 'Power issue'. It doesn't give much more information than that, but I have an appointment at the store this week. I'm ...

You can get the battery information that the Apple Genius gets by installing iBackupBot. Open iBackupBot Plugin your iOS device Select your device under Devices on the left Select More Information See Battery details - your battery is in good health if FullChargeCapacity (health of your battery) is near DesignCapacity

If the card can be used in an Apple retail store (i.e. not an iTunes gift card), then yes. Repairs are treated as an in-line item in their POS system. Any valid form of payment that could be used to pay for anything else in the store can be used to pay for repairs. I called an Apple retail store to confirm this.

I doubt it, and even if they did, you should not rely on it. I assume you are concerned about the case where your laptop gets stolen; you want to protect your data. In that regard, the firmware password is utterly useless, the thief could just pull the drive out and access your data anyway. I suggest you look into something like FileVault 2 instead.

In the past, Apple was very casual about handing out educational discounts. This started to change in 2016 and now as of fall 2017 there is a formal verification process that is outsourced to a verification program that checks hardware purchases as well as discounts to services like iTunes Apple Music service discounts for students. The TL,DR summary of ...

Speaking from experience, I can tell you that they do not come in the retail packaging. There are instead shipped in white box packaging. My Mac was delivered by UPS, it was just the white box, with the handle, on the side of the box was the barcodes and address etc, there was a mention of Apple on the barcode stickers, but no Apple logos, or images. The ...

You can get access to the diagnostic data that the iOS Diagnostics tool sends by following these instructions: http://www.lyonanderson.org/blog/2014/02/06/ios-power-diagnostics/ There's a lot of data to through, but you may find something useful.

Maybe apple prioritises new apps over updates. If your update contains major bug fixes you can request to get it expedited. You can checkout recent review times here: http://appreviewtimes.com

When you purchase the app, it stays associated to the Apple ID you used. You can install it on other iOS devices, too. Quoth Apple: You can associate your Apple ID with up to 10 devices, with a maximum of 5 computers at any time. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. You can re-install it on a new iOS device in the future. ...

If it's a certified apple reseller you will get exactly the same product as when purchasing at www.apple.com or the apple store. If it's another shop that is not certified by apple, you should ask them (how are we here supposed to know?). You will get the same level of support. It's worldwide one year limited guarantee with 90 days of telephone support.

Apple One to One is only available at the time of purchase and only from Apple online or retail. Apple retail store return policy is excellent. I did not know which of three USB hubs would satisfy the taste of an interior-decorator client, so I bought them all, let her decide, and returned the rejects. I did not know which portable wireless speakers would ...

You can buy a contract-free iPhone directly from Apple. Just click on "Or get an iPhone unlocked and contract-free":

You'd be better off looking for a sticker to put on top of your security sticker, and stick the sticker sandwich on the back of the device. Just use something that would be too time consuming to remove before trying to exit with the device, which would set off your alarm. The theory being that by not hiding your effort to thwart a theft, you may deter the ...

Selling unlocked phones is a fairly new thing for Apple retail. They've never been part of a product launch - so looking back, the precedent is NIL. There is great precedent for any new phone launch to have lines and quotas for the first 30 to 60 days after a product introduction. There also is precedent for a huge shipment on launch day - then limited stock ...

What about store.apple.com? I have bought two Macs with a US keyboard from the Finnish store. US means the standard US layout with a single row return key. The International English and UK layouts have a two row return key. You can probably get them from eBay as well.

You should have no problems since you are paying for the repair anyway. Plus, upgrading the RAM on a MacbookPro does not void your warranty.

Apple don't require proof of purchase for warranty service if the product went on sale less than one year ago. Your best bet is to make an appointment at the Genius Bar and claim that the product is defective as it shouldn't bend. The massive press attention on this issue is likely to make them more sympathetic. (I used to work as a Genius in an Apple Store)...

Yes it will. Just be sure you want the keyboard layout in the country where you buy. Changing the physical keys is practically a non-stater. Everything software will reconfigure properly.

Normally, a metadata resubmission takes less than a day. But that is extremely misleading. Many think you have to resubmit after correcting the data. This is wrong. Clicking "Submit for Review" puts your app in the back of the queue. Meaning it will take another week or so. The correct way is to reply to the resolution center message saying you ...

This is the direct response from Apple to me: Payments are made within 45 days of the last day of the fiscal month. To receive payment, you must have completed all documentation, including any required banking and tax information, as well as meeting the minimum payment threshold. If your bank and bank account currency is listed in the table provided ...

These are tech-enabled toys made by Disney as part of their Disney Infinity line. These toys can interact with specific apps on Apple devices. This is similar to Apple selling drones that can be controlled via iPhones. Disney has recently announced they're discontinuing this line of toys so Apple is probably trying to sell them all and reduce their stock....

After September 12 the crayon for iPad will be for sale to the general public. https://news.logitech.com/press-release/consumer-products/unleash-creativity-logitech-crayon-exclusively-new-97-inch-ipad Until then it’s still available in the initially exclusive education channel at Apple. Apparently there's no schedule, it is all based upon product availability. As soon as the product has passed all the Refurbishing steps, it's posted. What's certain is that products don't last long, so keen buyers are suggested to check every day, or even every hour.

In a general sense, policy is how the employees handle your specific situation, but here is the legal description of what the hardware warranty policy is: http://www.apple.com/legal/ As regards to any company, they may go above the policy when it's the commonplace or expected thing to do so it never hurts to ask nicely if some accommodation could be made ...

I ordered a refurbished MBP from the online store (early 2011 model) and it came in generic packaging. However, there was an OEM box inside the outer carton that contained the manual, re-install disc, and power adapter. In terms of resale, which is why I'm assuming you're asking, you won't get as much without an OEM outer box.
