Launchpad is a feature introduced in Mac OS X Lion based on the iOS springboard. A collection of application icons and folders is accessed either by clicking an icon in the dock or by pressing a specific key on newer Macs/Apple Keyboards. Applications can be launched with a click.

Where does launchpad store folder information? (database, etc?)

After making any desired changes, and writing them back to the db, we still need to do a killall Dock to refresh the launchpad screen. …

Where does launchpad store folder information? (database, etc?)

I know that the launchpad SQLite db is stored at ~/Library/Application Support/Dock/some-uuid.db (ref), but as best I can tell it doesn't seem to include any information about folders created in launchpad
