rsync : Show deleted files
Apple ships a very old rsync version:
$ rsync --version
rsync version 2.6.9 protocol version 29
You can install a newer version from Homebrew as follows:
Install rsync:
brew install rsync
Configure … Now, Homebrew's rsync should be the default executable, with has a much newer version:
$ which rsync
/opt/homebrew/bin/rsync
$ rsync --version
rsync version 3.3.0 protocol version 31 …
