This is the closest I could get:
say -v Kate 'They almost lost their lyyves.' (long I)
say -v Kate 'They almost lost their livvs.' (short I)
Confirmed working with voices Daniel and Fred. The short I example sounds weird when used to end the sentence like that, but in reality, a sentence like that wouldn't be pronunciatively correct.
