It's usual to have the audio sources (both input & output) switched automatically when a new hardware is plugged in (headphones, speakers etc. into the 3.5 mm headphone jack). But what I want is -
The output audio source changes to the plugged-in audio hardware.
The input audio source remains to be the default "MacBook Pro Microphone". I have to do it manually, which I want to automate.
Any Shortcuts or Automator workflow, in case it's not possible automatically?
I came through these, which might be related but doesn't solve this:
Is there a way to stop macos from changing audio input when new device connects?
Switching inputs from MacBook Pro Speakers to External Headphones
System detects digital output when headphones plugged in, audio does not work
OSX Yosemite change sound output while headphones plugged in
My Mac Switches Audio Output From Bluetooth Headphones to Internal Speakers
Thanks for any input, in the right direction :)
