I'm having issues with Apple Notes not returning searches. I'm led to believe that Spotlight indexes notes. I've just disabled indexing of /nix (also resolved, and reported disabled at /System/Volumes/Data/Volumes/nix).
$ mdutil -a
/:
/System/Volumes/Data:
/Volumes/nix:
$ mdutil -a -s reports status on all index roots.
Reindexing now with mdutil -E -a -i on. Hopefully this doesn't enable indexing on /nix.
I want to reindex Notes, but either I'm incorrect in fundamental assumptions about how indexing is managed (I hope that better information lets me solve my problem more precisely), or I need to reindex /.
