I am using Time Machine as one of our backup instruments. There is a Mac Mini as a server, which "serves" several directories as time machine targets for different machines. I use the the function "Limit Backups To". Last week time machine on a Mac Pro told me, that it had done a verification and that a new backup had to be done. I was too tired to see, if I could recover the error and accepted. When the computer started its backup, I verified all settings and found out that apparently the backup size of all backup directories exceeded the disk size. I tried to adjust the "Limit Backups To" size of the Mac Pro, but the change is not reflected in Time Machine.
I deleted the backup directory and recreated it. Added it again as a Time Machine target, but now time machine on the Mac Pro displays the whole disk size.
What is going on???
