I can not open the Xcode 10.3 on my Macbook Air running Mac OS 10.14.6!

For some reason, I need the Xcode to be installed on my Macbook Air. I am running macOS Mojave 10.14.6.

The release note of Xcode10.3 says: Xcode 10.3 requires a Mac running macOS 10.14.3 or later. (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/Xcode-Release-Notes/xcode-10_3-release-notes)

The Xcode 10.3 was smoothly installed from Mac App Store. But I can not open the Xcode 10.3 on my Macbook Air running OS 10.14.6!

A dialog box comes up with an error message: << check with the developer to make sure Xcode works with this version of macOS >>

enter image description here

Also, I did not find any available updates for the application Xcode 10.3.

Could anyone give me a hint on how to solve this issue?

Thanks!

  • Do you also have another version of Xcode on this Mac? Or are any Simulator or Xcode instances running? If yes, quit them, reboot and try.
