If I have a Google Calendar event link like this:

http://www.google.com/calendar/event?action=TEMPLATE&text=BL%25D%20Vs%20M0ST&dates=20220403T193000Z/20220403T203000Z&details=&location=

How can I add this to Apple Calendar directly (without adding the event to a Google Calendar first; I don't have a Google account)?

The full details appear to exist in that link (name of the event, date, time, and timezone). This seems like a trivial thing to automate. Searching the web for existing solutions is hard because all the results are instructions for syncing a Google Calendar to Apple Calendar via webcal or logging in to a Google account.

  • Does an event exist if it is not in a calendar? Sounds like a tree in a forest - does it make a noise if no one is there to hear it when it falls.
