I had a playlist of over four thousand songs, four days worth. It was too big to sync to our iPad.
So I duplicated it, and changed the rules to limit to twelve hours, selected randomly. Live update is also on.
But the items in the list never changed over MANY syncs and a few times playing it on the laptop.
I added a rule that excluded a genre of songs. One song disappeared from the first five; those that remained stayed in the same order, and no new ones appeared.
This is not intuitive: is this what is supposed to happen?
Since I can't fit all the songs on the iPad, I would like the subset that is selected to change from time to time. Otherwise, 85% of the songs will never be heard.
