If you click the "Show in Finder" button, what does it show? – Gordon Davisson Feb 23 at 5:38
  • You could also just try a spotlight or finder search. If you enable show hidden files (cmd + shift + .) you could also manually search for something related to that file. If this turns out to be harmful I would - apart from changing all passwords and such - wipe the SSD and clean install macOS. – X_841 Feb 23 at 7:53

You'll also get such messages for things like printer drivers or other software who's certificates have expired. discussions.apple.com/thread/251951900 – user90735 Feb 23 at 8:07
  • How far did you get with installing BigSur when the message popped up? Can you click "show in finder" and add a screenshot showing the path of the file in question? – nohillside Feb 23 at 16:34
  • Click Show Finder in and delete if the files. If that does not work, you can follow this and use EtreCheck app. It worked for me. – Hawon Nguyen 2 days ago
