Recently, in the last 12 hours, I noticed that the "Preview" and "Safari" applications failed to automatically convert PostScript files to PDF files.
When I opened up PostScript files with the "Preview" and "Safari" applications in the past, I could automatically convert these files to PDF files.
I wanted to see if the UNIX-like macOS commands would work in converting PostScript files to PDF files.
I managed to get the command "ps2pdf" to convert PostScript files to PDF files.
However, I failed to get the command "pstopdf" to convert PostScript files to PDF files. This command-line utility just "hangs".
I could be wrong, but I think the "Preview" and "Safari" applications use the command "pstopdf" to convert PostScript files to PDF files.
Hence, how can I change the macOS command for converting PostScript files to PDF files from pstopdf to ps2pdf in the "Preview" and "Safari" applications?
Thank you so much, and have a great day! Ciao!
