I have 2019 MacBook Pro for work. When in the office, I connect it to an OWC Thunderbolt dock which is connected to two monitors, giving me a Triple Display setup. Since the laptop itself is off to the side, I usually only leave our office chat open in full screen on that, and I use the two monitors for regular work. At the end of the day, I unplug the laptop and bring it home with me.

When I return the next day and plug it in, though, the laptop switches the open windows on the far monitor and the laptop screen. The chat window which should be on the laptop is on the far monitor, and every window that was open on the far monitor (Firefox, Outlook, various Finder windows, etc.) is on the laptop. The monitor in the middle is unaffected.

When I go into the Displays system preferences, the arrangement and designation of which is considered the primary display is unaffected. I am not sure what is happening here. It is very annoying to have to switch windows back and forth all the time.

Is there a way to fix this?
