I would like to change my right option key to a backslash ( \ ) specifically using the following remapping method:

How do I remap a key in macOS Sierra, e.g., Right Alt to Right Control?

However I cannot find the appropriate usage IDs to specify, and I'm not very good at using the Terminal, so I have difficulties in generating the proper code (in particular, setting the source key as a combination of keys, which seems to be what's required).

I specifically do not want to use Karabiner or Ukelele for this issue.

I am using a French keyboard where a backslash is usually found with Cmd + Shift + forward slash.

This shortcut would help me with my usage of LaTeX for writing documents: the backslash is constantly used to specify commands and assigning a single key to a backslash would save me time and coordination.

I use MacOs Catalina 10.15.2

All the best,

Cameron
