When using a certain third party application, any letter or number key prompts the "funk" alert sound, as if I was trying to conduct an illegal action. This does not occur while writing, or for mac native shortcuts (like Cmd+C etc.). Some of the keys are unassigned, others are shortcuts in the app; those shortcuts work (so they are not intercepted), but still produce the alert sound. Some shortcuts require to hold down keys, wich makes it especially annoying.

I know I could just turn down the alert volume, but I really don't want to resolve to that. Is there any way to tell the OS wich keys have a function? Or maybe disable the alert sounds for this app specifically?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. (I'm on 10.15.4)
