I have installed parallels desktop to run ubuntu-18.04.3-desktop-amd64 on my MacBook Pro and after the installation completed, I tried to make it full screen but as the installation of Parallels Tools fails, I couldn't succeed.

I tried installing Parallels Tools using the terminal commands below:

cd /media/my_username/Parallels\ Tools
sudo ./install

But I get the error shown in the picture and the error log doesn't help me.

The error

And here's the error log:

If anyone has had the same problem, I will be so happy if they share the solution with me. Thanks.

  • @nohillside I did so. Actually the error log was much longer than this but I just posted the parts that may help. Commented Oct 20, 2019 at 14:56
  • Do you have network access from within the VM?
