I was trying to reset my apple ID password on my Mac. Apple sent a verification to my iPad/Mac which is logged out of iCLoud and iTunes. Why is that? I thought that after logging out on my iPad/Mac, Apple should not be sending any verifications to it.

EDIT: I have uploaded an image of the screen on my Mac and on my iPad after I have requested for a change of password. I have logged out on both these devices so why do I get a verification on them. If I let my family member use the iPad/Mac after I have logged out, I do not want them to be getting the verification. Thank you

EDIT 2: When I log in on my Mac, only the iPad gets the verification. When I log out of both iPad and Mac, they both get the verification. enter image description here

@johnson, "verification" as in the two-factor auth code? Or "verification" as in the "Enter your password for email in settings"? – existing person Aug 18 at 18:17
