I've done my best to search around Google and stackexchange but haven't found anything mentioning what I'm experiencing.

We have a (pretty much brand new) Macbook Pro that is expierencing issues with screen-sharing (not the Apple remote connection, but in general - Slack, Skype, etc). When sharing the screen we can only see the program that we're using to share the screen. Even if there are applications in front of Slack/Skype, they won't be visible to people viewing the screen. Additionally, whilst the desktop image is viewable, desktop icons are not.

The user in question is unaware in any changes made prior to this behaviour beginning (It's been happened for a few weeks now).

Is this a setting that we can change?

Thanks in advance.
