I have a 2019 iMac running Mojave and Windows 10 installed on an external SDD with Bootcamp. Windows boots in UEFI mode and has no issues except that it is displayed as "EFI Boot" in the Startup Manager. My understanding is the "EFI Boot" label is caused by the presence of the bootx64.efi file in the /EFI/Boot folder located on the EFI partition of the external SSD.

Is there a way to change the "EFI Boot" label to "Windows"? This question was asked previously, but the answer uses Ubuntu as an example and also seems to rely on rEFInd. Is it possible to change the label without using rEFInd? If so, what changes need to be made to the EFI volume on the external SSD? The following image shows the output from the command diskutil list: diskutil list
