I have a 27" iMac and the graphics card started giving me issues. I'm not a Mac expert but I've tried this and this and this and this but no luck.

Also, I haven't tried baking the physical card, I'm not pro doing it, might mess it up even more.

What am I missing or doing wrong?

  • Firstly, welcome to Ask Different! :) I hope you come to find this site has a lot to offer! In case you haven't yet, it's worth taking the time to read the tour. In the meantime, can I suggest that saying you've "tried this and this and this and this but no luck" without at least providing some info in your post is probably not the best way to go as it means people have to go and visit a number of links to even know what you're talking about. Also, it may be worth editing your post to explain how you know your graphics card is giving you issues? – Monomeeth Aug 9 at 21:55
  • Have you checked the serial number with Apple? It may be from a known batch - mine was and it got sorted... – Solar Mike Aug 9 at 21:55
  • So "tried this and this and this and this but no luck" does have links and that is what I tried, all of it - just not the baking part. The iMac boots fine and then after the apple loads it goes to a black screen and restarts. It's a 2010 model so I doubt if Apple will fix it in that issue time has passed already. – jtvdw Aug 11 at 12:26
