I'm using this MB Pro:

Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro - Space Gray
2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory
256GB PCIe-based SSD
Intel Iris Graphics 640
Two Thunderbolt 3 ports
Force Touch trackpad

I've been using the LG-24UD58 as main external monitor connected through an HDMI cable + the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter, and I never had any problem.

Now I bought the LG-38WK95C, and I'm using it connected through USB-C along with the LG-24UD58 connected as before.

The problem is that now the LG-24UD58 sometimes glitches, or shows white noise, or sometimes all black with just the pointer, etc.. Most of the times it recovers in a couple of seconds, but it's really annoying.

Do you perhaps know what it could be and how this could be addressed?

UPDATE: the laptop is not closed, so 3 displays.

  • If there is any way to swap what port each monitor is connected to that would help you narrow it down to a problem with the monitor (or cables) or the Mac itself. – Steve Chambers Jul 15 at 19:01
