When I go into the Settings and have the option to pick a new screensaver, it will not actually save my preference. When I change the screensaver I can see it is changed in the mini-preview, but it has not actually changed when I check the homepage.

  • How did you check? The panel for setting your screensaver has a time setting for how long before screensaver kicks in. Did you set the time? or a hot corner? – jmh Jun 25 at 15:02
  • I dont know how to change the time. I do have hot corners however. I think there's just something wrong with my operating system and im not sure how to fix that issue. I used to just be able to go in and change my desktop photo but now it will not change from one of the apple provided images – Ian Weider Jun 25 at 16:58
  • What system and computer are you running? – jmh Jun 25 at 17:24
  • Are you talking about screen saver or a desktop picture? You won't be able to tell if screensaver has changed until screen saver is launched. Which is where the time comes in. The desktop picture changes almost instantly but is not a screensaver. – jmh Jun 25 at 17:31
  • Desktop picture. Sorry for the confusion. I am running MacOS Mojav version 10.14.5 – Ian Weider Jun 25 at 17:44
