I travel a lot, so I came to the conclusion that a power bank made for charging laptops is a good solution when wall-plug is not an option.

The question is how many full charges can I expect to have from a ~30,000mAh power bank. Some people say 1 full charge, some 1 and a half, and I keep wondering how this is possible, since the MacBook Pro's battery is around ~6,000mAh. I would expect it to get at least 3 - 4 based on simple maths and power efficiency.

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

  • Difference is down to "simple maths" and also that you probably don't get the full capacity available, then you are probably using the mac while you are charging it and that consumes power as well... – Solar Mike May 28 at 7:22
