So the global shortcut for opening a new finder window isn't working for me. I've tried different keys as the shortcut input, and none of it works. Regular Spotlight works fine though.

I remember messing with the Terminal when I first got this laptop, and I think that's what made it go wonky. I was trying to eliminate that thing where you put the window above the screen.

Any fixes for this?

finder shortcut setting

  • With Finder.app in focus, try using keyboard shortcut Command + T (open new Finder tab), Command + N (open new Finder window) or Command + (go one level up in directory hierarchy). – Nimesh Neema May 12 at 11:19
