I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T480s with a thunderbolt 3 port. I bought the official apple thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter to connect to my thunderbolt 2 display. When plugged in the thunderbolt manager recognizes the display and asks if I want to connect. I say yes however it never connects. It is attached but not connected. The display plug gets hot where it is plugged into the adapter so I know something is communicating however the display never powers on. I verified the adapter and display work with a mac mini. It is not a permissions problem as I tried changing to no verification needed in bios and that did not solve it. I have the latest thunderbolt controller driver.
