I have a iMac 24" that has been wiped multiple times, i have reinstalled multiple OS X versions and have run disk utility on it and it says that there are no problems. the specs of it are: 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo 4 Gigabytes of ram and 256MB of vram. it will boot, just only in safe mode. any help is appreciated.

  • 1) Reset NVRAM and 2) try a different keyboard - your Shift key may be stuck. – Allan Apr 5 at 0:00
  • Does it always boot into safe mode? Or will it always fail when you try a normal boot? – historystamp Apr 5 at 0:16
  • You going to have to figure out which feature left out is causing you problems. How far does booting get in formal mode? – historystamp Apr 5 at 0:28
  • You could try getting an external drive and install macOS on the external. You could run a hardware test. may be there is a problem with the video chip. – historystamp Apr 5 at 0:29
