I tried to run Disk Utility in my iMac. It said that:

fsroot tree is invalid

How to resolve this issue? Is my HDD going to die?

Disk Utility Fails

UPDATE: Already tried /sbin/fsck -fy in Single-user mode. Same error occurred and the problem is not resolved.

There's not enough information to tell whether the drive itself is ok, but the filesystem on it is not in good shape. Do you have a backup (or better yet, two)? If so, I'd recommend erasing the drive, running hardware tests, and (if it passes those) restoring from the backup. – Gordon Davisson Mar 29 at 5:47
