I bought a restored MacBook Pro 15 2015 (MacBookPro11,5). And noticed a strange behavior: 1) Fans are very noisy. For example, if i watch a video on YouTube 4k 60 fps, then the temperature of the processor reaches over 60°C and the fans are running at full capacity. It even happens that I just sit in the browser and the fans start working abruptly (although the processor temperature at this time is 50-55°C). 2) If I have a charge the battery on the MacBook less than 100% and it is turned off, then when connected to the charging, it automatically turns on. Is this normal behavior for the MacBook?

  • I have the same Macbook and 4K video really takes a lot of processor capacity and my fans ramp up as well. Some of the fan noise has a lot to do with using Flash which is VERY inefficient (power hungry). I obviously can't judge what you are hearing as normal or otherwise but 4K video (especially flash video) is indeed processor intensive and at least some of what you are seeing is normal – Steve Chambers Mar 28 at 20:46
  • And what do you say about the automatic power on of the MacBook? – euppi98 Mar 31 at 13:47
  • Huh? I don't understand. – Steve Chambers Mar 31 at 17:08
  • Well, look. My MacBook turns itself on when I connect the adapter to it. This is normal? – euppi98 Apr 3 at 10:07
  • In a word no. That is likely a hardware issue that needs to be investigated by a repair tecnician. Apple sore or other trusted Apple repair depot. – Steve Chambers Apr 3 at 13:01
