I am planning to buy an RTX 2060 GPU, primarily for deep learning. I have a MacBook Pro 13-Inch (Mid-2017 Retina Display), which has a Intel® Core™ i5-7360U Processor. I read at certain places on the Internet that a lower FPS CPU can present a bottleneck to the newer RTX GPU. Is this true, and if so would the older generation GTX 1060 be okay with this CPU architecture?

  • The item with the lowest fps will always be the source of the bottleneck... – Solar Mike Mar 10 at 8:08
  • Okay, so what's the best GPU that could be obtained with this CPU architecture? – n.gaurav Mar 10 at 11:32
