I have been having repeated issues with my MacBook Pro where it freezes during trivial finder tasks like scrolling through directories or opening relatively small files. Sometimes the computer is able to recover, other times it completely locks up and becomes irresponsive.

I’m wondering if there are any applications I could use to log activity monitor readings passively until this happens again so when I take the computer in for repair I have something to show them (seeing as I cannot recreate the issue intentionally).

Or would these problems be recorded in on the “console” application? If so where would I find them?
