I am using a Mac OS Virtual Machine for a single purpose - to use iMessage. There is absolutely nothing else that the machine does.

However, even at rest, the machine seems to always be doing something. What steps can I take to reduce CPU and Memory activity and tweak my VM for a single purpose that I need it for.
