I'm using macOS 10.13.x and MacVim 8.1.280 (151). MacVim adds a handy "New MacVim Buffer With Selection" service to the macOS service menu. It has a keyboard shortcut of control-command-v. In most of the apps I want to use this service, I can use the keyboard shortcut to take the current text selection and put it in a new MacVim buffer.

Except Google Chrome (Version 70.0.3538.110 (Official Build) (64-bit)).

When I have text selected in Chrome, that keyboard shortcut doesn't do anything. If I use my trackpad to select the option in the "Chrome > Services" menu, it will work. That's the only way to get it to work, though.

How can I get the control-command-v keyboard shortcut to work in Google Chrome and activate MacVim with the current selection?
