I have an external monitor for my iMac Pro. It is connected via an USB-C to Displayport adapter from Moshi. Unfortunately, it behaves not optimal:
- If the monitor is switched on while the iMac is booting, the monitor is properly detected as second monitor and works fine.
- If the monitor is switched off then, this is also properly detected by the iMac
- If the monitor is turned on again, the iMac does not recognize the monitor. I have to unplug and plug again the USB-C plug on the iMac. Then the external monitor is recognized again.
I have already reset SMC and NVRAM but that doesn't solve this problem.
Unplugging/Plugging the USB-C on the backside of the iMac is very uncomfortable. Is there a way to emulate that by software?
