Is there some repo/github that would have keybinding files for apps that could be imported to provide a some-what consistent shortcut experience across apps?

Example: keybinding files for Sublime, VSCode and IntelliJ so that search is always cmd+f, jump-to-line is always cmg+g, tab navigation is always cmd+arrow, etc.

I'm fully aware that some of these apps offer bindings from other apps (e.g. VSCode has a template for Sublime shortcuts) but that doesn't fit all cases.

The solarized theme has a similar "cross-app consistency" idea: https://github.com/altercation/solarized.

  • Standard Xcode templates provide those shortcuts. So developers have to choose not to use them. However I think yu are asking can you chnage the keybindings for an app and the answer is no unless the developer adds that functionality – Mark Nov 10 '18 at 10:39
