First time i've seen this, but had a kernel panic from an installation, so booted into recovery, did a time machine restore. The log says it completed successfully, but upon boot I get the message: "Error, could not find APFS system volume handle".

The volume shows up as normal when booting with "option", but same result. Tried going into recovery to check the drive, and try first aid, but that fails, saying can't unmount the drive because there's a mounted container in it.

Can't bless either, that fails.

OS is 10.13.7 High Sierra

Any ideas?
