I'm unable to open a couple of games on macOS Sierra. I recently downloaded them, and have never been able to successfully run them. Gatekeeper is already disabled. Not runable1 Not runable2

Does anyone have any ideas on how to play these games?

  • Is there anything useful in the log files? Where did you get the games from? Which permissions are set for the application and its content? – nohillside Oct 15 '18 at 17:30
  • Where are the log files for them located? And it has the default permissions, I haven't changed any of that – Sam Oct 15 '18 at 20:41
  • Can you open Terminal, run ls -ld /where/ever/you/installed/train-valley and add the results to the question? – nohillside Oct 15 '18 at 21:03

Those look like they're Steam games. Try downloading the steam client for macos (Some games can be run without it, but most require the client)

  • I have steam, and they aren't steam games – Sam Oct 15 '18 at 20:39
  • ...and I've run them through steam shortcuts, same error message pops up. Is it essential to know where I got the games from? Because I'd have to do a lot of looking to see where I got them – Sam Oct 16 '18 at 18:32
