I'd like to work with folders of text for my notes on iOS and macOS. The advent of Files.app seemed to be the answer to this problem. However, I'd like to be able to have a Notes folder and an Images folder (or subfolder) where I keep local copies of images for the notes. On macOS, this is trivial, and images can be linked with

![alt text](../Images/img.jpg)

This approach doesn't seem to work on the iPad… I've tried doing this with Textastic and iA Writer without luck. I'd rather not pull the markdown file into something like Ulysses, because then I'm not syncing via Files anymore. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? My next solution is to upload the images to an image-hosting service, but isn't the direction I want to take this workflow.
