I have a new iMac and 4 speaker systems each with a sub. The Altec Lansing 641 and the Logitech THX both hooked up through the 3.5 on the back of the iMac. The Bose Companion 5 going through USB, and the Klipsch 2.1 going through Bluetooth.

Before I got the Klipsch system today I had created a multi output device and all 3 seemed to work together just fine. I bought the Klipsch because the AL-641 system is 15+ years old and one of the two matching subs is blown and the volume control module has a short in it at the connection point.

When I deleted the multi output and created a new one to have all 4 systems working as one, I started having problems.

My question is this: Which one should I use, the aggregate or multi, and why?
