On MacOS X High Sierra (10.13.5) I regularly run XQuartz (2.7.11). I noticed that on a regular basis the focus was stollen on the active window: the 3 upper left buttons of the active window turn to grey. Then everything I was typing is making the ring bell but is lost.

I started to investigate this ennoying bug, and to check which other process might be doing this focus theft I used the system accounting.

I noticed that nearly a few second before this focus theft, I have an X11.bin (the X11 server running behind the nice name of XQuartz) which died:

This nightmare seems to appear with this last version of High Sierra and probably with the last upgrade (10.13.5).

I am interested by any experience return of the same problem or not on 10.13.x where x ≠ 5.

I am also interested by any experience return of colleagues who might have found the origin of this problem and a possible workaround.
