I am using Rogue Amoeba's Audio Hijack 3.5.3 on macOS High Sierra. I would like to use it for recording audio from an application source (an old LP currently stored in iTunes as a single file) in such a way that it auto-splits audio into as many separate MP3 files as there are pause-of-silence-separated songs. At this point I am not concerned with specific MP3 file names or other metadata such as titles or artist names, and I'd like to do this without scripting Audio Hijack (if that's feasible).

I this (still) possible with the indicated version of Audio Hijack, and if so how?
