I have a video, recorded on a recent Panasonic Lumix, that I wish to convert from its MOV format to something that will work on mobile devices when served from my Web Server. Initially I converted it using:

avconvert -p PresetAppleM4VCellular -s video.mov -o iPhone.m4v

Both the conversion and playback worked fine, but I decided I wanted a higher resolution as it didn't look so good on larger mobile devices, so I tried:

avconvert -p PresetAppleM4V1080pHD -s video.mov -o iPhone.m4v

With the PresetAppleM4V1080pHD preset, I got an endless stream of output in my console as follows:

Finalizing CVPixelBuffer 0x7faee9f26e70 while lock count is 1.
Finalizing CVPixelBuffer 0x7faeeb301af0 while lock count is 1.
Finalizing CVPixelBuffer 0x7faee9c61c70 while lock count is 2.
Finalizing CVPixelBuffer 0x7faee9e05f30 while lock count is 2.
Finalizing CVPixelBuffer 0x7faeeb070900 while lock count is 3.
Finalizing CVPixelBuffer 0x7faee9c66e30 while lock count is 3.
.
.
.
avconvert completed with error:0.

And when I tried to play the video, the audio was fine, but the image was stuck on the 1st frame. I then tried:

avconvert -p PresetAppleM4V720pHD -s video.mov -o iPhone.m4v

And the same occurred again; endless lock count messages, completed with error:0 at the end, and when I try to play it back in QuickTime (or VLC), only the audio works whilst the image is stuck on the 1st frame.

I can't find any info in google for avconvert and the Finalizing CVPixelBuffer 0xXXXXXXXXXXXX while lock count is Y. message.

Anyone know what's going on?
