Literally out of nowhere my laptop screen went crazy. I was using it while sitting at my dining room table and stopped for probably 10 mins to look at something on my phone. When I looked back, it was like this.
- MacBook Air 13"
- Bought new 3 months ago (August 2015)
- Running OS X 10.10.2 (haven't upgraded to El Capitan because of negative reviews).
- Has not been dropped, no water damage.
Apple Care tried to help over the phone by having me reset a few things (video card, etc) but nothing worked. I have an appointment at the Genius Bar for thursday so I'm wondering if anyone here might have any ideas in the meantime.
It started out like this:
and got progressively worse:
There appears to be 6 vertical panels on the screen, 4 of them have the crazy colors/stripes, and the other 2 are normal. The text and mouse cursor are reversed when they're "behind" the panels.
I was able to login, see parts of my desktop, & open some items. Other than the crazy sections it seems to be working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Four days feels like a lifetime to wait for tech support.
