I'm trying to listen to a podcast through Apple's headphones on my Macbook Pro (Retina, 13 Inch, mid 2014), running OS X 10.10.1, but the audio keeps cutting out.
When the audio cuts out, the following log messages appear in the Console app:

Every time it happens, the first message seems to be AirPlay became the default audio device
, but I'm not currently using any airplay devices as far as I'm aware. How do I stop this from happening?
Rebooting doesn't help. Also, I'm in a library, so I currently can't test playing audio without headphones.
